Super Bowl rematch between 49ers and Chiefs will be during Week 7
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Jordan Schultz reports that the highly anticipated rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, a reprisal of February's Super Bowl, is slated for Week 7 of the upcoming season. The clash will occur at Levi's Stadium, with the kickoff set for 1:25 p.m. PT and FOX broadcasting the game.

Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady is expected to call the game from the broadcast booth.

While Schultz notes an October 25 game date, that would fall on a Friday. He likely meant Sunday, October 20.

In Super Bowl 58, held at Allegiant Stadium, the Chiefs edged past the 49ers with a 25-22 victory in overtime, thwarting the Bay Area team's championship hopes.

The complete 2024 NFL schedule is set to be unveiled tomorrow at 5 p.m. PT. It is common for select games to be revealed before the official unveiling. We already know that the 49ers will open the regular season with a "Monday Night Football" showdown against the New York Jets on September 9, also hosted at Levi's Stadium.
