Former Razorbacks Guard Sent Back to G-League
Eric Canha / USA TODAY Sports

BOSTON, Mass. — Former Arkansas Guard Jordan Walsh has been reassigned to the Maine Celtics after four appearances with the Boston Celtics.

Walsh appeared in four games across five weeks and scored his first and lone NBA basket on Feb. 4 in a 131-91 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Drafted with the 38th pick in 2023, Walsh was one of three Hogs drafted to the league along with Anthony Black and Nick Smith Jr. The Desoto, Texas Native averaged 7.1 points in 36 games (22 starts) in his lone season as a Razorback and was part of a Sweet Sixteen run.

The Celtics already have a good impression of Walsh in a short amount of time, with both Payton Pritchard and 2018 All-Star Kristaps Porzingis for his energy and athleticism`. Both heaped praise on Walsh after getting a career-high 18 minutes in a 136-86 win over the Brooklyn Nets Feb 14. Walsh did not score, but grabbed five rebounds and was a +/- 8 in his first meaningful playing time in the league.

Walsh will now return to the Maine Celtics, where he is averaging 15 points in 30.8 minutes to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
